Hi Clarissa,
I have been watching your webpage for many years
now. I receive my springer from you in 11/2005. Her mom is Isabelle
and her father is Mole. She has been a wonderful pet ... has a sweet
disposition and is so eager to please.
I had another springer .. Maggie, a 15 year old I had bought from a family in Idaho, she too was a love, unfortunately she recently passed. I will be forever grateful to her for her loyalty and enjoyment.
Now
I would like to start looking for another female liver tri color puppy
with lots of freckles/roan, blocky-square nose and of course I'd like
to get her from you. I love the looks of Harry, Lilly and Arlo, love
their coats.
I am in no hurry in fact would like to wait until spring.
I live in College Station, TX and you may recall you shipped Jazzy to Houston, TX.
I hope this is still an acceptable way to transport puppies as she did
well, but don't know how the airlines are these days with this kind of
shipment.
Jazzy is a liver tri and is such a sweet dog. She's
not super dog friendly, when we take her to the dog park she'd rather
hang out w/ people and sniff for rabbits. She is somewhat cautious and
sensitive but I'm sure she would warm up and have a new best friend. She absolutely adored Maggie, I think she looked to her as her mother.
Can
you send me information with what you anticipate with upcoming litters,
perhaps with the dogs which caught my eye. See what you think would be
a good fit for my family. Shipping information and puppy pricing. I
have all the confidence that you will know what is special for me.

Good Lord, what a sweet boy!! We are
totally in love with this little guy. He was a bit nervous at first,
but warmed up to us in no time. He bonded with me a bit faster than
Scott, I must say. =) Layton
(baby) has laughed out loud watching him with his squeaky squirrel. You
weren't kidding about him being spoiled and a lap dog. He crawled right
into my lap..so sweet! He rode with me to pick up a pizza and snoozed
in the front seat. We are happy as can be with him. Thank you so much
and tell Meredith thanks again as well. We'll send you some pictures
soon. By the way, we are going to call him Finn (short for
Phineus)...however, Ferdinand does suit him. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thanks again for this very special boy. Be assured he will have a wonderful, happy life as a member of our family.
Warmest regards,
Amy Davis
Hi Clarissa! I thought you might like to
see a few pictures of your little guy. We are TOTALLY in love with this
dog. He is so good with the baby. We take him everywhere and he went to
doggie daycare today. He has already learned to wait at the door, sit,
and down. Deciphering between his toys and the baby's has proved a bit
more challenging for him. ;) Thanks again for this amazing animal. Hope
you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Sincerely,
Amy Davis

Hey Clarissa and Vivian-
I was just writing to give you an update on Liam,
now Ranger. He is such a good puppy! He has grown so much already.
House training is going well, he loves to go in his crate at night, and
he is very quick to learn. He loves his toys, and loves human
attention. He especially loves socks! Any sock laying next to the
laundry basket will be found and taken to his play area! All of his
vet check ups have been good, and he still needs one more round of
vaccinations (4th round). We are so excited to have him with us.
Thank you!

Hi
Clarissa –
I
was just looking at pictures of your tri puppies – they are so cute!
I’ve
attached a couple of pictures, one of Cooper and a couple of Cooper and Shelby
together in a chair.
Shelby
is 1 year old (as of the 12th) and is doing well. She is a very
funny girl (funny as in comical) and we keep her busy with agility, day care,
and long walks.
We
were out at our 160 acre farm in the western part of the state a couple times
and the dogs love to run wild and free!
We
had a rough summer because my dad passed away on August 26th.
It is still a shock but the dogs are a bright spot in our days and help us move
on.
Right
now, Cooper has a symptom of his cancer possibly returning so we are doing
testing and I am taking him to the animal hospital in Madison on Monday.
It’s much sooner than I had hoped after he went into remission in the
Spring. I took him to an animal communicator in about mid-September and
it was very interesting.
Hope
you are doing well – I had been meaning to send you a photo but we’ve
been preoccupied with our loss.

Clarissa, Just wanted t o let you know that Harley (your Shaun) will be one on Tuesday. We are having a 'party'
for him as we do with all of our springers. We just love him and he
has been a perfect fit in our family! He loves the yard and running
with his brother & sister and he loves to cuddle with them on the
couch at night. He has been a joy to have. I will send along some
pictures soon. Diane & Jack

Clarissa and Vivian,
Just wanted you to know that Janis Joplin, now our Gracie is terrific. We adore her. She went to the vet yesterday and everything was fine.
Last night she slept from 9 - 2:30, took her out and she peed and
pooped. Brought her in and she went back to sleep til 6:15. Right now
at night I lay down beside the crate at until she's asleep and then I
crawl into bed. During the day she's out of the crate most of the
time. In fact, she's really only in the crate when I shower or can't
be watching her. She has full run of the house (of course, because
she's family).. I'll be sending you some pictures later on. She's
perfect. Thanks for breeding such wonderful dogs. I hope one day to
have another one (that can't happen though, till my husband agrees)
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Love is in this house. Louise
Andrews
Vee & Clarissa, here are the pictures of Gracie (formerly Janis).
I think she is the most beautiful, sweetest, smartest, greatest doggie
on the planet. Love, Louise

07/15/2009-From Laura
Hi! I adopted a puppy from you four years ago. I named her London Bridges Moonpie, and we call her London.
I
had hoped to breed her, but could never find a stud, so I had to have
her spayed when I went to work full-time and was afraid I could not
keep her "out of trouble."
My son wanted to see where she was
from, so we just pulled up your website. I just thought I would write
and let you know that she is doing well, and has been a true joy! We
are still so happy with her. She is great with kids, and loves to be
loved on. I joke that she has one aggressive tendency: If you won't
pet her, she gets a little aggressive until you give her the attention
she wants.
She is healthy, beautiful and sweet, and catches on
easily when we take the time to train her. Last month we took her
camping and canoeing, and the canoe rental man offered to trade his van
for her. Of course, we declined. Our neighbor is retired, and he
voluntarily takes care of her during the day when we are gone, and even
takes her on errands.
Just thought I'd give a quick testimonial. We would recommend your springers to anyone. Wish I could get another one!
Take care and have a blessed day.

Hello Clarissa. It has been a while since I've sent an email. Just a
quick reminder of who I am... We got Kobi, the caramel sable cocker
spaniel from Gabriel's final litter, a little under two years ago.
And
let me tell you he is such a joy. Him and my son play for hours on
end. One of his favorite toys is a simple sock from the laundry. I
actually caught him harboring a few in the yard last summer, haha.
Anyway,
just wanted to drop you a line to say that he is doing wonderfully.
Will send some pictures if you'd like for yourself or your website.
Quick
question for you though... We have gotten such lovely comments on his
coloring and mannerisms and we were actually thinking of starting him
for stud services. We, of course, would like your permission and any
information you would like to share regarding the subject would be most
welcome.
Thanks so much! God bless.

Clarissa,
It has been quite sometime since I have written, but I wanted to send you a couple of pics of Mya I took recently. She is quite the character! She has tons of sass, and swaggers when she walks! She is a bit chubby, but quite sturdy. She is a little adventurer, and loves to go everywhere with us. My husband rigged a box on the back of his snowmobile, she hopped in and off we went. I had her wrapped up in fleece, and she had a blast! It was quite a sight.
The day after Memorial Day we had to put our other girl down. I was glad it had only been 9 months since we got Mya (time flies!), because she wasn't too attached. She has become quite the companion, and continues to make us laugh particularly when she sticks her chubby butt in the air and growls with a toy in her mouth egging us on!
I hope all is well with you and your furry friends,
Kim

Hi Clarissa,
You don't know me yet, but I think about you quite often. I am Emily's
mom. Emily is female puppy #5 from Heather Leshock's litter about 2
years ago. Emily's puppy mom is Grey and her puppy dad is Mole. In
wandering through the websites, I think that you are originally responsible
for her being here.
I am writing to you because I want you to know how wonderful Emily is.
She is so very sweet, kind hearted, loving, fun, frisky, and oh so very
smart. She can out run and out catch any dog on the beach. She lives
in Simi Valley, California which is north and west of L.A. Emily and I
visit the beach quite often for an amazingly fun day. The sand, the
water, the birds the waves the attention that she gets, the puppy friends
and the fresh air makes us both tired puppies at the end of the day.
Thank you so very much for her. I am fron NYC originally and used to
visit friends in Connecticut that had Springers. I have always wanted one
and now I have to let you know that she is the love of my life. My 15
year old son is also the love of my life, but not quite as much fun.
I bought her online from Heather which is something that I was sure
that I would never do. Well, I always trust my instincts, even from many
miles away. After talking with Heather and understanding via the
computer what a great group of Springer families that you all are, there was
no doubt that your puppies were the best. Emily arrived at the airport
having traveled with 2 cranes headed for Seaworld. A hunting dog and 2
birds must have been interesting cabin mates. On the way to the airport,
my son asked me: "Mom, what if there is just a brick in a box instead
of our puppy?" When I responded with: "What does your heart feel?" he
answered: "Mom, she's going to be the best puppy in the whole wide
world!"...and indeed we think that she is exactly that. Emily lives with her
older sister, a golden retriever and 8 kitties. The kitties are in and
out kitties. She has gotten along with them all since day one. When we
adopted out last rescued kitten, Emily took great care of her. She
followed her, cleaned her, slept with her and even let the kitten pretend
to nurse on her. What a gentle spirit she has while at the same time
being such a little hunter, frisky puppy and our best bud. Thank you so
much for all the love that you have brought to our lives with Emily. If
you ever have anyone hesitant about getting an "online" puppy from you,
please have them call or email me.
I would also like to send you some fun pictures of Emily.

Dear Clarissa,
What a dog. My buddy Stewart is itching to get one of your pups. The only problem is his wife is being very fickle regarding the taking on of a newdog.
Sophie and Saxon are coming along better than expected. They have not got the heeling down pat yet but work reasonably well on lead. They can sit on voice command and hand command. The stay part we are just starting to work on. They can both retrieve the tennis ball. Just yesterday I took them to the river and they seemed a little intimidated since it was their first time seeing a body of water. I can not wait till it gets a little warmer so that I can get in there with them.

Shelby, aka the abdominal snowman, gets a little frustrated when they bite her and does not know her own strength when she loves on them. Other than that she loves them and is trying to help with their upbringing. Arabella is very helpful with the two pups she can get them to sit.
I am so excited in involving the family in the training of these dogs. What a great way to get everyone excited in hunting. I never took this into consideration and I am overjoyed at what the future holds.
I ordered that book by Bill Tarrant since I could not find it in stores. I was confused with another author that also uses the title "Gun Dog". The other author who writes his books with another
author uses a fast approach to training dogs something which I do not agree with. I my opinion there are no short cuts to raising animals and children. I am looking forward to reading Bill Tarrant's Gun Dog and Bird Dog books. Thank you for the advice fell free to keep it coming.
Love,Harold
Dear Clarissa,
Thank you for getting back with me on their information. In my hast to
get that information and tell you about some people who are interested in
your dogs I did not get a chance to tell you how much how much I appreciate
your puppies.
I could not be any happier about the quality of our puppies. These
puppies are already exceeding my expatiations for them. They are already going
to the door to be let outside to go to the bathroom. They are getting
their names and coming to them. You really have some fine puppies and dogs.
Sincerely, Harold

Hi, Ladies!
Lest we forget, the newest Cavedon sends you the attached message.
Love,Jan & Marcy
Well, she came home a little over a week ago, and it took her all of
five seconds to rule the roost. Definitely another "alpha" dog (Lord
help us). It ain't easy saying "no" to a face like that.
Love, Jan
Hey, Clarissa!
First, thanks so much for our lovely puppy and for the groundwork you all did with her that's making our lives easier already.e
made it home safe and sound. She was very good, but got a bit frantic
from time to time with lots of whining-- just missing her mom and
siblings we guessed.
By yesterday, the whining had stopped, and
we had a very busy day. First, we went to PetsMart to get some puppy
gates (a big help). Then we took another trip to meet Dr. Amy, who
agrees with us that she's wonderful. By the way, while we were there
we saw the hugest black-and-white male Springer we've ever
encountered. His owner said he was 65 lbs., and we believed him--not a
great representative of the breed (not only way too big, but a real
discipline problem).
Our third trip yesterday was to dinner at the house of our best friends here. They, of course, were enchanted with her ladyship, and had a boxful of useful presents for her. Their Irish Setter, Kyra, was not totally enthralled with our Marcy, but they'll get to be friends eventually. Marcy behaved beautifully.
You're
right about how good a nose she has! And she learns very quickly. She
now gets into her crate without asking and stays in it for a while.
Later today I'm gonna' try closing the door for brief periods. She's
also already going to the door (sometimes) to ask to go out.
Thanks
again. I'll be sending back the signed purchase agreement today.
We'll keep you posted on her progress. As my Aunt Marcy would say,
she's truly "super deluxe"!
Best,Jan and Bob and Marcy

emotionally -if that's possible with a dog! :)
She is so loved and had a breakfast of eggs this morning and has a cupcake with her name on it for later.
I
hope is all is well with you - would love to see any pictures of new
pups - although - we're not in the market for another one - she's still
got alot of pup in her!!!
I'm sending you a recent picture of her!

Clarissa and gang,
Greetings from Charleston! We picked up Mr. Bojangles in February when he was 9 weeks old and have loved him ever since. We are not the only ones, there is a saying in our neighborhood "that everyone loves Bojangles!" We are actually thinking of nominating him for president of the home owners association. I am sending photos of him from 2 weeks ago (8 months old) at the beach and with us on our boat.
Post some photos of his "birth parents" so we can show them to him so he knows he has 4 parents who love him.
Suzanne & Paul, lovers of Bojangles!
PS: We will let you know if he gets enough votes and becomes president in the neighborhood. I bet he overturns the rule about dogs on leashes

Hey Clarissa, I wanted to show you how well Steamer is doing. He is such a great dog and loves to be loved. We got a goat to help us with the weeds and Steamer licks it and plays with it. He even lays with it. He is a very sweet dog. I am excited about Breeding Tango with him It won't be too much longer and she will be ready. I am only going to breed her once then I will have her fixed. With the beauty and temeperments that they both have I think I will be very happy with their pups. Here are some pic's.

Hey lady, Wanted to show you how Steamer smiles. He has that look that Ozzy has so human like. He is such a sweet heart and as you can see, he is great with kids. All you have to do is touch him and he drops right down for attention. Did you get the pic. of his puppy? He is real mellow like Steamer and soooooooo cute!

Hey:
Think of you often and cannot tell you adequately what MyLady means to me. She is growing so fast. She has had a bladder infection. I will take her again next week for a checkup. She and I are really bonding. Charlie died on the 12th. MyLady is my constant companion and confidante. My bed is her bed. I hope to get her to obedience school in the next two weeks. She is still picture perfect and so very friendly. Maybe I can get some pictures and send you an update soon.
Thanks.

Clarissa and Vivian,
We were so sorry to hear about the accident! I'm sorry that I didn't contact you sooner, but the months just kept slipping by me. So here is an update about Jaxy!!
As you will see, Jaxy was our practice "baby" and she helped us to realize how much we wanted a real baby. (She is still our first baby and boy does she know it) We had a baby boy in March, his name is Marshall, and he is growing like a weed and we can't believe how much he adds to our lives. He is wonderful, and Jaxy is amazing with him. She loves him and is so good around him that we are thrilled with her behaviour. She hates for him to cry and is always letting me know that he is crying. She hates for me to take the time to feed Marshall and is constantly bringing me toys while I am nursing....It is so funny. We knew she would be good with him and are pleased that she is.
She is so smart and Craig has her trained to do so many things. We are thinking once things settle down into a routine around the house that we are going to get her involved in one of those classes where the dogs do all those amazing tricks, I can't think of the name right now on 5 hours of sleep!!!! She is now patiently waiting for us to get the pool ready so that she can swim, she loves the water.
I want you to know how happy we are with Jaxy in our lives and that we owe it all to you two. She really makes our family complete. I'm sorry that I've fallen down on my duty to keep you updated, but now I'm in a sort of routine, and seem to be able to fit in about 30 minutes or so of personal time in a couple of times a day!?!?!?
We hope that you are mended and it sounds like you are back up and going, and we are happy for you.
All our love,
Shawna, Craig, Marshall & Jaxy

Hi Clarissa!
I just looked at the Lilly-Harry puppies and fell in love with them all. What a beautiful group. I have been wanting to send you updated pictures of ours and will do that this week. Sicilia (aka Sissy) who is Harry’s daughter has the lips and low hanging ears. We think she is the prettiest female ever. We thought she was coming into season (luigi was very interested in her) and were already counting as to when her next season would be so that we could breed. I think her and Luigi ( hunny bunny) will have a great litter. But seems like it was a false alarm. She is such a lover! If she gets out of her crate fast enough in the morning she flies, and I do mean flies up on the bed and lays across my neck. She then makes her own snuggle noises and just looks at me with those expressive eyes. She is also the fastest Springer in the 5 we have owned. Last week she and Isabella were in the small fish pond terrorizing the poor fish. Isabella is trying to teach Sissy Springer talk. It is pretty funny to watch. Almost like she is saying “ you can get alot of attention when you do this!”
On another note, we have gotten Isabella half of the way off of the Phynobarbatol, they said to do it very slow. She also took the antibiotic. We have not had any recent seizures so far. Now I need to know what the natural meds were that you used. I found someone who is open to naturopathic healing for dogs! She was very interested in your experience. So I am cautiously feeling positive about this. You are such a great resource. Anytime I recommend Rainbowbridges, I always tell them that the best part is that you don’t just sell a puppy, you care about them forever.
Anyway, I hope things are going better for you. Are you now all settled in your house? I bet it is beautiful.
Love and hugs
Bonnie

Hey Clarissa and Vivian,
Sorry it took me so long to email. I bought Ozzy and Jimmi's youngest girl who I named Emma. I have talked to Vivian on the phone a few times but have not sent pictures.
She is the best puppy I could have ever hoped for. She is a little over four months and already knows sit, stay, heel, come, retrieve and is almost but not quite potty trained. Don't worry we play more than we train. She loves to play in the yard and of course adores water and digging up my plants. She is so cute and sweet that I have given at least ten people in Columbia your website.
The first picture is Emma at my office few days after I brought her home. A little bit shy of the camera and still a bit curious about who I am.
The second picture is a bit dark but is Emma about a week ago playing on the porch at my office with a pig ear in her mouth. She still doesn't like the camera.
Anyway thank you so much for giving me such a great dog. I could not imagine my life with out her. I hope to get her a playmate and will give you a call as soon as I can convince my sister to let me get another dog.
Clarissa I am so glad that you are better!

I was not sure if I ever sent this to you guys.If you ever get another one like this guy was, I want him!! He was so special.I love Forrest, he is doing great, I'll send a new picture of him also. Just found this on my computer and thought I would send it. I still miss him, and shed tears sometime. Forrest is a nut, and great fun! I am going to have to buy a baby pool for him for the summer so he doesn't try to stuff himself in the horses' water anymore! He is a good size boy, 47 pounds. Just got him altered about a month ago. He gets testy with on dog at the
farm, not sure what it is with that one, but otherwise he is a sweetheart. I want more so bad I can hardly stand it, but I think my husband would kill me. I travel way too much, and he gets to spend the days with them. Forrest doesn't know what to do with himself if he isn't at the farm by 8:00am, he gets really bored! He is so cute though, just loves playing with
toys. Never had a dog that played by themself so well! Just a doll!
Hope all of you are doing well.
Love to you all,
Heidi

Hey Clarissa!
I finally got a scanner hooked up to my computer, so I can finally send you pictures of Louie!!
He is a fabulous boy! He is sweet, brave, happy, healthy, goofy, and beautiful! He loves his brother Ben. He loves water, of course. Soaking in a warm
bath is one of his favorite pasttimes. He is always filthy, so this is a good thing.
We just finished obedience classes at Petsmart. He is very proud of himself. He wiggles so much it's a wonder he can walk a straight line.
I have misplaced his AKC papers and never did register him. Is it possible to get another copy?? Also, I have not neutered him, so if you know anyone that would like his services, please let me know!!
Thank you so much for my beautiful baby. I hope everything is well with you. The house looks great!!
Much love,
Alicia

We have decided that the timing of this litter isn't the best. We are still
very interested and hope you will have more litters either ready for early
to mid summer or even early fall. I think this time we maybe looking for a
black and white too. I am attaching pictures of Cooper. He is so sweet and
loving and is always right with us. He is also a great watch dog too. Will
you be having any litters this summer? If so when and we will keep an eye
out for the new addition. We look forward to seeing you guyd later this
summer.

Clair, Viv, Austin, and the Gang;
Clair, it always seems that whenever someone I know goes through some great trauma, it is always one of the good people. I personaly think this is because they are the strong, "Heart of Gold" types, and the man upstairs knows they can handle it. Take care, and get well soon !!
OK, so He's not so little at 54 lbs. Couple weeks shy of 14 Mos. old, but still a pup at heart. looking back in my emails I see we haven't talked since Sept. Therefore, there is a lot that can be said of our boy. I'll try to keep it short.
When we talked in Sept. I mentioned that I would soon introduce Jake to His first live birds. Started with a 1/2 doz. Chukar. He did not do so well that day, but then that is to be expected. He learned some very important lessons that day, which makes it all worth while.
From that point on into Dec., He went out 3 different times side by side with My older Springer "Curly". All 3 trips we used Pheasant, and Jake improved His skills on each trip. First trip He stayed pretty much by my side, very interested in what was going on, but not really joining in. Second trip He moved out, and hunted with Curly about 50% of the time. Flushed His first bird (by accident). Oh, you should have seen the look in His eyes. Also, made His first retrieve of a bird Curly had put up. Third trip He was running the field the whole time. The story of the last bird of that day could be a long one. We'll cut it short, and say He made My day. Hunted well on a large rooster (incredible nose), followed by a 250 yard retrieve!!!!
Next event was a hunting trial in late Dec. Curly was entered, and Jake came along naturally. In between rounds, I was letting Jake run in some of the unused fields (by Himself). I saw something in Him that day, that told me He was ready to try to hunt by himself. It was as if someone had turned on the "Hunting Switch" in His head. Also, quite proud of Curly that day. Half blind, and mostly deaf, but the "Nose of Gold" carried Him to a 3rd out of 12.
In early Jan. we went out again, and 3 birds planted for each dog. Jake hunted quite well, found, and flushed all 3 of His birds. One of His birds He would not retrieve. This was My fault as this bird was shot to close. There are few dogs that would retrieve a bird this "Shot Up".
Last trip was all about Jake. 6 birds in two groups of 3. One of the first 3, ran 50 yards, and then flew out of the field before we got there. He hunted, flushed, and retrieved the other 2, and then ran the trail of the lost bird about a doz. times. On the way back to the truck He trapped a rabbit, and brought it in. He did quite well again on the 2nd set of 3, including a beautiful long retrieve. Photos from this day are attached.
No doubt, He will be entered in the next trial, March 12th. He should do a good job from what I've seen. Plan to get out, and shoot a few more between now and then.
Just realized it's 3 A.M., might need a little sleep. We'll talk again soon.

I love this pic and wanted to share it with you. Steamer follows my grandson everywhere he goes when he comes to visit. It is so cute to watch if Austin turns left Steamer turns left if he runs steamer runs and on and on. Austin is only two and is very good with the dogs. I told him it was bed time and he gets on the coach then looks up at me and said Steamer up, please grandma. So I let Steamer get up and he laid his head on Austin. Then He said Tango up, so both dogs ended up sleeping with him and didn't make a move all night. Now I know how to get Austin to go to bed when he spends the night. LOL. Take care and My prayers are with you.

Clarissa,
I hope all is going well with you in your recovery. I just wanted to send you a quick email to let you know that Maggie is the absolute best puppy. Your advice to wait for Druscilla’s litter sure did pay off. We were very worried about getting a new puppy with what happened to us last time with the toy poodle, but we have been pleasantly surprised with Maggie.
She is very well behaved with the kids and always knows to settle down when she’s put in her crate. My son loves to go outside with her and play ball and she likes to meet him at the bottom of his slide!
She is really growing fast and I’ll be sure to send you a picture when I get one a little more recent.
Thank you so much for your advice and for Maggie – she’s the best!
